Paris – General Sameh Katta, Chairman and CEO of Nilesat, held an extensive meeting in Paris with Mr. Alain Fauré, EVP Space Systems and CEO of Airbus Defence and Space, attended by a number of executive and technical leaders from both sides.

The meeting came as part of Nilesat’s commitment to keeping pace with the latest developments in satellite manufacturing and launch, and to learning about the leading technologies and solutions offered by Airbus in this field.

During the meeting, the technical team from Airbus presented its latest space platforms, which represent a new generation of orbitally reconfigurable satellites.

The discussion also addressed the capabilities of these platforms in supporting satellite broadcasting and communications services with higher efficiency and more competitive operating costs.

For his part, General Sameh Katta presented Nilesat’s future vision and expansion plans in satellite broadcasting and communications services, in line with the rapid developments in this sector and to meet the needs of viewers and customers in Egypt, the Arab region, and Africa.

Both sides discussed ways to strengthen joint cooperation, exploring mechanisms to benefit from Airbus’s technical expertise and capabilities in support of Nilesat’s future plans, contributing to the development of the Arab satellite communications systems.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to continued coordination and consultation to enhance joint cooperation in this vital sector.
