The Egyptian Satellite Company, Nilesat, today received a media delegation from the Jordanian House of Representatives, on a visit aimed at strengthening media cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two brotherly countries. The delegation was received by Major General Sameh Katta, Chairman and CEO of Nilesat, who welcomed the guests, emphasizing the depth of bilateral relations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Jordan, and the historical ties and common goals shared by the two countries in supporting Arab media. The Jordanian delegation praised the warm welcome they received, appreciating the pioneering role played by Nilesat in the field of satellite broadcasting in the Arab region, and stressing the importance of future cooperation in the fields of media and space technology.
During the visit, Engineer Maisa Ali Kamel, CTO of Nilesat, presented the company’s shield to Mr. Firas Al-Qablan, Chairman of the National Guidance and Media Committee of the Jordanian House of Representatives. The delegation also toured the company’s technical departments, where they were briefed on the latest technologies used in satellite broadcasting and satellite management and operation. The delegation expressed their admiration for the significant technological advancements achieved by Nilesat.
The Jordanian House of Representatives delegation was accompanied by Professor Ibrahim Abu Zekri, President of the General Union of Arab Producers, and a number of prominent parliamentary and media figures.
This visit comes within the framework of supporting media and technical relations between Egypt and Jordan, and enhancing areas of joint cooperation to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
